In Blogging 102 of my 6-part Blogging eCourse, we discuss the main types of blog styles. I also provide you with some ideas of how to use them.
Some people like to stick to one specific style. However the problem with this is that your audience will get bored and bounce to another blog or nothing at all. We’re all busy and have the attention span of a tsetse fly so it takes AWESOME content to keep us engaged.
So here’s a preview of what you get in this lesson. A great way to think of which blog style you’ll use is by stepping into the shoes of each style. I like to ask myself, “who am I going to be in this blog”.
Am I teaching my audience how to do something new?
Am I the storyteller sharing my experience?
Am I the curator sharing my take on multiple stories in one cohesive post?
When you’ve determined what voice you’re going to use you can begin outlining your blog content. Set a clear path for and stick to it. Again, its okay to mix up your styles for each blog. I encourage it.
The main idea is to stay on topic and let your passion flag fly!
